Adorable pullovers

Anthropologie has the most adorable "lounge clothes" (truth be told, I wear them everywhere).  Their latest lounge wear offering is over-the-top cute.  From my previous posts, you probably know I am a sucker for a cowl neck ANYTHING!  This terrycloth lined cowl neck is perfection.  I think it would look great with a long sleeved t-shirt underneath as well.  It is called the Pahoehoe Flow Top and is $58 (comes in cream (my favorite) and grey).

The other lounge top that I am loving is called the Monthly Meet-up sweatshirt.  I LOVE the orange stripes.  It is super comfy and super flattering.  I have worn it with skinny jeans and boots, and it is quite fashionable (if I may say so myself!).  It comes in grey stripe and solid grey as well.  $78

What is hip for spring?

Hi ladies!  Here are a few trends I am really liking for spring:
1.  The color coral (coral colored jewelry, coral lipstick, lipgloss or nailpolish).  You get the idea!
2.  Stripes -- I love stripes in general, but pair a striped shirt with white pants & espadrilles, and you will be transported to Paris in your mind!
3.  Wide Legs -- Pants that is!  A wide leg pant hides a multitude of sins.  The magazines are showing very wide leg pants, but I prefer a more subtle wide leg.
4.  Flat sandals -- Finally!
5.  Floral -- Love the floral details in the Fendi and Prada bags.  Oh so beautiful!
6.  Nature's gems -- Raw cut stones in rings, earrings and necklaces.  Organic shapes, amazing style!
7.  A fresh face -- I just love this Laura Mercier palatte.  It truly has everything you need, and would be perfect for traveling.

THE spring nail polish

I have written enough about Chanel nail polishes that it will come as no surprise that THE nail polish for spring is a Chanel color!  Black Pearl is it...a beautiful pearly gray, green, blue color.  It just oozes chic!  Spring makeup is also leaning towards taupey green eye shadows.  If that isn't your thing, this nail polish is a safe way to insert this trend into your life in a more wearable way.  It will look just stunning peeking out from those sandals or booties!  This is what I'll be using for my next pedicure!  $25 at all fine retailers.

Is it sandal time yet?

These "Saffarri" sandals by Steve Madden make me want to get a pedicure and walk through the grass!  The military green & chestnut leather sandals are just what I need for spring.  Guess what?  They are super comfortable too!  I love a thong sandal...I have since I was five years old.  My mom has so many pictures of me in cute thong sandals.  They just make me happy.  At $60, they are a good price for the amount of wear they will receive!  Available, of course, at Nordies!

Cutest little purse

Oh how I adore this little Coach purse!  I think it is the perfect "special occasion" bag when all you need is your cell phone and a lip gloss.  The colors are so versatile and I think it would be appropriate for all seasons.  The gold chain is to die for!  An instant classic.  Coach poppy small bag, $198 at Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom, Coach.

Spring delights

I know it is cold and snowy here in Denver, but in January, my mind turns to all things SPRING!  I long for tropical beaches and fun, umbrella drinks!  Here are a few items that make me think of warm weather.

I have been longing for these gorgeous espadrilles by Stuart Weitzman ever since I saw Jennifer Aniston wearing them in a magazine last year.  They are the perfect neutral shade; they would go with anything.  These espadrilles fit the ankle perfectly and elongate the leg.  Every woman needs an espadrille in their shoe wardrobe!  This shoe is pricey at $368, and I consider it "THE espadrille", but you can find much more reasonable versions this spring!  This shoe also comes in a lower-heeled version for $298 at Nordstrom.

This bag by Christopher Kon is perfectly understated with sumptuous leather.  I ADORE the orange accents and fold-over detail.  You can make this a shoulder bag or a cross-body bag by adjusting the strap.  So chic!  $228 at Nordstrom.

Christmas Idea #7 -- classic children's books

I have previously blogged about Penguin Classics cloth-covered books.  They are BEAUTIFUL and look so nice arranged on a bookshelf!  Penguin has just released classic children's books with the most delightful covers.  The artful covers will make anyone, young or old, smile.  I am seriously considering buying these books are storing them for my future grandchildren (and I am only 39!)...that is just how special I think they are.  You might also consider buying a few if you have a baby shower to attend!

The available book titles are:  Anne of Green Gables, The Secret Garden, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Huckleberry Finn & The Wind in the Willows.  $16.99 at anthropologie.com (It doesn't look like amazon.com is currently carrying these special edition books).
